Registration Now Open for Pulse Days 2009 - Celebrating 25 Years
Pulse Days 2009 will be held January 12 & 13, 2009 in Saskatoon. This year, Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) will be "Celebrating 25 Years."
"This year's conference will focus on the growth of the Saskatchewan pulse industry in the last 25 years and we will look at where the industry is going in the future in terms of research, market development, and international markets," says Garth Patterson, Executive Director of SPG. "We have also included even more marketing information this year, dedicating the entire afternoon to three market outlook panels.
Some topics include a global perspective of the pulse industry - looking at the past, present and future, market development update from Pulse Canada, an international perspective about the importance of the Indian market in relation to the Saskatchewan industry and our market outlook panels with three market outlook question and answer sessions featuring top market panelists.
"With more than 1,000 producers expected to attend, it is wise to secure a spot early so you can come and celebrate 25 years with us," Patterson says. "We will continue to kick things off on Monday evening with our Opening Reception and Poster Session at Prairieland Park and we will run the conference on Tuesday, January 13 starting at 7:00 AM with breakfast.
Saskatchewan residents save 50% and pay only $20 by registering before 4:30PM on Friday, December 19, 2008. All participants outside of Saskatchewan and those registering at the door pay only $40.
In order to accommodate such large numbers, SPG will continue to offer the option of attending at either Prairieland Park (in conjunction with the Western Canadian Crop Production Show) or Saskatoon Inn (where speakers will present live).
To save your spot, visit the SPG website at www.saskpulse.com and register online or download a registration form and fax it to us at (306) 668-5557. You can also call the Pulse Days hotline at (306) 668-9988 during office hours - 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday.
